Large Teak Home for sale in Phrae

This magnificent, large, teak home is now for sale for the first time, since it was built by the current owner 10 years ago. She has now moved to Chiang Mai and has decided to sell her home.

The rectangular shaped land measures 720 sq m, (~7,200 sq ft), with the house facing the road. The rear of the section backs on to rice and corn fields on another title not that is not included in the sale.

There are many mature flowering trees, along with mangos, palms, bright yellow trumpet bush,  and red bouganvillia.

Situated just off route 101 in Sungmen, the home is only 10 kms from Phrae city.

It measures approximately 400 sq m (4,000 sq ft) and was constructed in a Lanna style by a master-builder complete with “kalae” (decorative wooden carvings) on the gables, and pitched, multi-tiered rooves, reflecting the region’s climate and culture.

Phrae is a hidden gem in northern Thailand, and has long been the centre of teak trade and furniture manufacturing in Thailand.

Comprising of a kitchen, dining room, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and with a large open plan living room downstairs, this home was built with family and entertaining in mind. One bedroom facing the road was previously a village shop which could be readily converted

The new high speed train Phrae station is being built about 2 kms from the house which makes it readily accessible from Bangkok on the bullet train travelling at 250 km/h.
