Spacious, modern, 70 sqm furnished New York loft style apartment with its own private access, to rent in quiet noexit street 15 mins from the city or airport.

1 bedroom with double bed, own bathroom, and kitchen with everything in it, plus Netflix, HBO, Bose stereo and fast WiFi (fibre 1Gb/1Gb unlimited).

It’s situated in a beautiful, private area of Chiang Mai with many Thai restaurants and markets close by serving delicious Thai food, along with Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian etc.

Native English, Thai and Japanese speaking owners live on site in another apartment. Situated in a quiet no-exit street with rice fields nearby yet still in the city, this 1st floor apartment is secure, and it’s safe to walk around the area at night. The local Thai people are very friendly, accommodating and relaxed.

The apartment is only 11 years old with a fully equipped kitchen including hob, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, blender, coffee making facilities, and filtered drinking water on tap, or you can visit some of the fabulous inexpensive Thai restaurants nearby. Large floor to ceiling windows flood the apartment with muted light, there’s paintings on the walls and you can chill watching Netflix, HBO, or hundreds of DVD’s.

There are 2 free mountain bikes to explore the area, as there is great cycling through the suburbs or to 89 Plaza the nearest shopping centre only 10 minutes away, with fabulous street food and markets. The old city in town is just 6 kms away. But best to hire a scooter to explore further afield, as many of Chiang Mai’s great adventure attractions are 20+ kms outside the city.

You can rent a Honda or Yamaha scooter in town, typically 250 Bt per day (US$7) so make sure you bring your international driver’s license, or we can rent a 160cc automatic Honda Click if you have an IDP.

The apartment has its own private access, kitchen, and bathroom, along with, aircon, TV, Netflix, HBO Max, Blueray DVD player, Bose stereo (with smart phone input), plus two 21 gear mountain bikes available FOC. In the bathroom is fresh soap, and shampoo. There’s a self service laundry downstairs. Guests can have as much, or as little of our time as they’d like.

We can advise where to go, what to do and see, especially a few of our favourite, secret restaurants that you won’t find online or in the guide books.

Also for eating out, there are so many excellent Thai, Lanna (northern Thai), Japanese, Vietnamese, etc restaurants all within a couple of clicks for lunch or dinner, plus our favourite bars and bistros. Food is delicious, very fresh and so inexpensive. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, there is a huge fresh food market just down the road selling seasonal food some of which you’ve probably never seen before.

If you’d rather western fast food, KFC, McDonalds, pizza etc, all deliver to the apartment on a phone call, as does the many food delivery companies who will deliver from numerous restaurants after you have chosen from the restaurants’ menus online.

Our business depends on reliable high speed internet so there’s 1Gb up/down fibre to the apartment. There’s also a lot of information on local attractions like, Thai cooking schools, clubs, massage, hair salon, elephant parks and coffee shops in the rain forest, 25m pool, massage, motorcycle day trips through the mountains, and all the local restaurants (Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, plus fast food delivery to the apartment).

Chiang Mai Thailand is such an incredibly relaxed and chilled out city with the weather in Chang Mai varying from mild (Nov – Feb) to hot March to May to Monsoon (Jun – Oct).

It is incredibly safe, even safer than Singapore according to Travel + Leisure’s 2025 Safety Index. “Chiang Mai Clinches ‘Southeast Asia’s Safest City’ Title.

There are so many things to do and attractions in Chiang Mai from the Chiang Mai old city surrounded by a moat, Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary, Chiang Mai night bazaar, Chiang Mai night market, Chiang Mai Sunday market called Walking Street, Chiang Mai Night Safari, Grand Canyon Water Park, Tiger Kingdom, Doi Inthanon (Thailand’s highest mountain at 2,565 m) and of course Chiang Mai’s many temples including Doi Suthep temple on top of the mountain close to the city etc.

There are many flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, landing at Chiang Mai airport only 7 kms away, (the Chiang Mai airport code is CNX), or get a bus or an express train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The train’s 2nd class sleeper is very comfortable.

If you would like to study Muay Thai there’s a school only 300m away, or even a relaxing massage where the masseuse comes to the apartment we can arrange it for you. Also if you want to learn Thai cooking there is an excellent Chiang Mai cooking class out in the country where you get to pick your own home grown, organic, fresh vegetables in season, before learning to cook several dishes of delicious Thai food.

We can arrange a motorbike to rent in Chiang Mai , or a scooter or car hire (with or without driver), lunch beside the lake, or even a trip to Elephant Nature Park.

We are only 600 m from Varee International School and only a couple of kilometres from ABS or Ambassador Bilingual School.

We can even recommend an excellent Chiang Mai dentist, as good dental care here is so inexpensive.

We also run kayaking and cruises tours from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang in Laos, down the Mekong River. These adventure tours are typically 1 to 3 days depending on route taken if you would like to go.
